Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime UK price leaked

Samsung will launch the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime in the UK next month, and now I have how much it will cost you.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will go on sale in the UK in June and Geeky Gadgets has word of how much it will cost you to go Prime time.

According to their source the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will retail for £649 in the UK. This is obviously for the SIM free version as you’re likely to get a hefty concession for the up-front cost when getting one on a monthly contract with one of the UK carriers.

Samsung currently sells the Galaxy S5 for £579 in the UK unlocked, so the £649 price for the S5 Prime seems fairly reasonable considering the handset will come with a range of uprated bits ‘n’ bobs.

The Galaxy S5 Prime will feature a 5.1-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and will be pushed along by a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor in the engine-room.

Other rumored specifications for this premium version of the Galaxy S5 includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage which can be further expanded by another 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot.

The high end Samsung Galaxy S5 will also come with a front facing 2 megapixel camera, and a rear facing 16 megapixel shooter. Naturally it will be running Android 4.4. Kit Kat skinned by Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Turkey's prime minister accuses Twitter of tax evasion

Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan isn't happy that free speech rights thwarted his desires to block Twitter and silence corruption allegations, so he's switching to plan B: accuse Twitter of shady dealings. He's now promising to "go after" the social network for tax evasion, and has implied that other internet-based peers like Facebook and YouTube might be breaking local laws. We've reached out to Twitter for its response, but we wouldn't expect the company to take Erdogan's charge lightly.

For now, it's difficult to tell whether or not the claims will amount to more than just talk. There isn't an official case against Twitter at this stage. Also, Erdogan's views don't always mesh with those of Turkey's judges -- he believes the Constitutional Court is conducting "interference in politics" by upholding freedom of expression. When the politician has had success in banning YouTube, though, we wouldn't be quick to rule anything out.
